An In Depth Word From The Pastor

To those who love the lord,

2 Corinthians 4:8 – 12 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.  For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.  So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

This scripture is speaking to those who believe and trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ.  As we look at our surroundings, they are so far from the surroundings we use to have when we were children.  It is a time of pressing in.  It is a time to change those surrounds because we have been given a gift; LIFE.

You know life is a gift.  You cannot buy it, you can not barrow it, nor can you make it.  Life has been given to you by the One who made it.  The words “made it” sounds strange doesn’t it?  But, it’s true.  The Father, the father of the Lord Jesus Christ, made life.  And, He created this life for us.  This life was in existence in Him.  No one else has it or had it.  Man can not create life.  He can carry life; he can bring forth those elements so that life can be activated.  But, he cannot create life.  Without God, the Father, the elements needed for life is just that, elements.

What are the elements I am talking about?  Those elements are a man giver and a woman receiver.  The elements that exist in a man, that is given to a woman, only can be activated by God’s breathe.  A man and a woman can come together in union to give and receive but, it does not create anything unless it is God’s will for those elements to become alive.  This is proven on a daily basis when a married couple come together but cannot produce children.

The point I am trying to make is this.  Life is a gift and it can only be given by God, the Father.  Knowing this, we must treat life with love and with care because you cannot get another.  As the scripture states above, we are pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned.  We are warned through the scriptures that we are going to be rejected, tormented, accused, hurt and hated, but we have life.  Can we preserve life as human beings?  Yes, by treating each other with precious care.  We must stop taking revenge in our own hands or taking a “fad” to the extreme for the excitement of it by killing.  We can ask our Father to help us see the other person as He sees them.  Preserve the life in another person because when you do that you preserve your own.  We must treasure the life the Father, God has given us.

We only have one opportunity to experience this marvelous gift called “life”

Let us preserve it well.
