24 Hour Prayer Line
Intercession
Intercession is standing in the gap, or praying in the spirit, for someone or something against the rebellious forces.
Intercession takes individuals who live prayerful life, a life of submission and obedience to the Lord, one who understands and knows how to take direction and orders without getting offended. When one enters Intercession, they first must be prayed up and have had time intimately with the Lord. One hour of prayer is a very good starting point. |
||
One must always have their bibles with them, and a pad and pencil so that when God speaks to the hearts of the Intercessors; they are ready to obey and act on that word.
Intercessors should have accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Jesus is the great Intercessor and He will protect and guide the Intercessor while in battle. We wrestle not with flesh and blood but with principalities, spiritual wickedness in high places. In other words, we must learn to battle the enemy instead of a human being. Intercessors must be with other Intercessors so that they can cover one another in prayer. Intercession is for all age groups but only those with a determination to live a prayerful and humble life will be victors in the prayer battle. |
24 Hour Prayer Line
The prayer teams or participants are to share with their prayer leaders or the ministry heading up the 24-hour prayer line, what God is speaking to them.
It would be wise if the teams and participants would report on a weekly basis; that way the reporting times will not cause confusion. The ministry heading up the prayer line will send an email or send a letter to each team or participant letting them know if everyone is on the same page or in there are new revelations from God. It is imperative that the participants or teams are Christian base participants. The purpose for a 24 hour prayer line is to bring churches and leaders close together, braking denominational walls, bringing structure and order to our city, and become a source of help, hope and resource for youth, young adults, children and most important to the elderly. |
